2. Using this website

You may use this website for personal, non-commercial use. You must not misuse the site, attempt to access it unlawfully, or interfere with its normal operation.

3. Information and disclaimer

Content on this site (including fermentation, food safety and cooking information) is provided for general educational purposes. Food preparation carries risks. You are responsible for safe handling, cleanliness, temperatures, storage and following any relevant health guidance.

We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it is always complete or suitable for every situation.

4. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all text, images, graphics and design on this site are owned by Author Carl. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute our content without written permission.

5. External links

Links to third-party websites (including retailer links) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of external sites.

6. Orders (physical products)

When you place an order via our checkout, you are making an offer to buy the item(s). You will receive an order confirmation email/receipt. If we cannot fulfil your order (for example, stock issues or address problems), we will contact you and refund any amount paid.

7. Prices and payments

Prices are shown in GBP. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.

VAT: If we are not VAT-registered, VAT will not be added to prices. If this changes, pricing and invoices will be updated accordingly.

8. Delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimated dispatch times are shown at checkout (or on the product page where stated). Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.

9. Returns and refunds (change of mind)

If you are a UK consumer buying online, you normally have a right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods. To cancel, email us with your order details within 14 days.

You then have a further 14 days to return the goods. Items must be returned unused, in a resaleable condition, and with all components included. You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item.

Once we receive the returned goods and check they are in acceptable condition, we will refund the price paid for the item(s) (and the standard outbound delivery charge if applicable) using the original payment method.

10. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or we sent the wrong item, contact us as soon as possible (ideally within 48 hours of delivery) with your order number and photos where relevant.

Under UK consumer law, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Where appropriate, we will offer a replacement, repair (if relevant), or refund.

11. Digital content included with a physical product

Some products include access to digital guides (for example via QR code). Digital guides are provided for the purchaser’s personal use only and must not be shared or redistributed.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website or products.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Courts of the UK will have jurisdiction over any disputes.
